Hardware Technician (Robotics)

Location: On-site in San Carlos, CA

Salary: $25.96 – $48.46 per hour

What you will do

• Fabricate and assemble mechanical hardware for complex robotic hand systems.
• Support PCB and electromechanical bring-up through testing, debugging, and validation.
• Accelerate development cycles by delivering high-quality prototypes and hardware modifications.
• Identify prototype issues early and provide actionable feedback to engineering teams.
• Document assembly processes and test procedures to ensure repeatability.
• Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and firmware disciplines to integrate systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in hardware development within robotics, automotive, or consumer electronics.
• Strong hands-on fabrication skills including 3D printing, CNC machining, and manual machining.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as Onshape, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360.
• Experience using electrical test equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
• Ability to perform PCB bring-up, firmware flashing, and component rework.
• Must be able to work on-site in San Carlos, CA.
