Senior Software Engineer (Golang)

Location: Herndon, Virginia, United States; work in the Herndon office. Travel of 10–15% may be required, including CONUS and OCONUS travel.

Salary: $125,000–$190,000 USD annualized.

What you will do

• Develop, version, and maintain the application and its codebase.
• Build APIs, external integrations, and associated data management capabilities.
• Develop features based on emerging user needs and collaborate on user workflows and new data sources.
• Scale high-performance data pipeline services that extract, transform, and load data from disparate systems.
• Support cloudification, containerization, productization, and transition to government and industry users.
• Review solutions with peers and help deliver maintainable, extensible software.

Requirements

• Advanced degree with 4+ years of experience or bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience.
• 5–7 years of experience working with backend technologies.
• At least 2 years of experience in API development and data pipeline development.
• Fluency in Golang, including packaging, testing, and requirements management, or a similar language.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Ability to travel 10–15%, including CONUS and OCONUS travel.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ETL tools or frameworks.
• Open-source project development experience.
• Experience with Linux, Git, Docker, and container registries.
• Familiarity with AWS S3 or EC2.
• Experience with team collaboration.
