Tech Lead Principal Systems Engineer

What you will do

• Lead a small, multidisciplinary engineering team and provide technical direction for systems engineering, digital engineering, and AI capabilities.
• Plan, execute, test, integrate, and assess live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) events and maintain a stable environment during mission events.
• Oversee third-party tool integration and develop bounded adapters for event tools, simulation tools, operational workflows, and user-facing mission products.
• Bridge disparate simulation systems and hardware-in-the-loop environments to enable real-time data exchange and complete end-to-end integration checkout.
• Develop distributed simulations using federation management, distributed time management, HLA, DIS, and FOM/SOM guidelines.
• Deploy and test containerized units in the cloud, support processing hardware installation, and define digital engineering service plans aligned with architecture and workflows.

Requirements

• 10+ years of systems engineering experience and typically 8+ years of specialized modeling and simulation experience.
• Experience leading teams in the creation and execution of LVC engineering frameworks, developing program roadmaps, and managing customer expectations.
• Experience with MS&A and MBSE tools including Cameo/SysML, Cameo Simulation Toolkit, ModelCenter, Ansys STK, MATLAB, or Simulink.
• Experience with Java, Python, or C++, as well as Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to develop requirements, CONOPs, APIs, IDD/ICDs, SDDs, and test plans and procedures within Agile and DevSecOps environments.
• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. Strong communication, customer-facing, analytical, and collaboration skills are also required.

• Experience with Omniverse, Postman, and Visual Studio.
• Experience evolving systems architecture in close collaboration with software engineers.
