Senior Machinist (Aerospace)

Base hourly range: $40–$50 per hour

hirify.global is developing Superpower, a 42-megawatt industrial gas turbine, and is building the prototype and production facility in parallel.

What you will do

• Own the most difficult CNC machining setups, including work involving incomplete specifications that require independent judgment.
• Machine challenging aerospace alloys and troubleshoot complex problems in real time.
• Perform in-process inspection of critical features.
• Provide technical feedback to programmers to improve process design.
• Set the technical quality standard for the machining cell through consistently excellent work.
• Support and guide other machinists through hands-on technical example.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of independent experience running difficult aerospace alloys in precision CNC machining.
• Ability to operate multiple machine types rather than specializing in only one machine.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex, non-obvious machining problems independently.
• Working knowledge of GD&T, including MMC, true position, and profile of a surface.
• Background in aerospace, defense, or comparable precision manufacturing.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the authorizations required under ITAR and EAR regulations.
