Machinist (Aerospace)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; fully on-site five days per week

hirify.global designs, manufactures, and operates low Earth orbit satellite constellations and spacecraft systems for climate monitoring, national security, and other Earth intelligence applications.

What you will do

• Program and operate three-axis CNC mills and lathes for flight components.
• Participate in engineering design and production planning reviews.
• Plan fixturing, tooling, and inspection processes.
• Own first-article and in-process quality control for machined hardware.
• Document manufacturing activities in MES, write non-conformance tickets, and maintain hardware traceability.

Requirements

• Experience programming three-axis CNC mills and using CAM software such as Fusion 360, Mastercam, or similar.
• At least one year of machine shop experience or trade school training.
• Ability to lift 50 lb.
• Willingness and ability to learn.
• Must be able to meet applicable U.S. export-control requirements for access to ITAR/EAR-controlled information.

Nice to have

• Experience programming four- and five-axis CNC mills.
• Haas controller and Fanuc experience.
• Forklift experience.
• U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or protected-individual status for ITAR access.
