Machinist IV -2nd Shift (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, New York, United States; 2nd shift

Salary: $37.00–$41.00 per hour, plus a 10% shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift employees

What you will do

• Perform precision machining and CNC programming using CAM systems for complex parts, fixtures, tooling, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.
• Plan jobs, prepare fixturing, and complete layout operations across a range of materials.
• Maintain very tight tolerances of .0001–.0002 and inspect the quality of completed work.
• Collaborate with design draftsmen and manufacturing engineers to resolve machining issues, defective materials, and unusual conditions.
• Make technical decisions about fixturing, tooling, setup, and inspection methods when detailed instructions are unavailable.

Requirements

• Six years of experience as a diversified machinist.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer-based work instructions or training in English.
• Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Knowledge of G and M codes.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Work onsite in Buffalo, New York, and access U.S. export-controlled information.

• Previous CAD/CAM experience.
