Data Scientist (Agentic AI)

Location: Arlington, Virginia, United States. Up to 10% travel. Clearance eligibility and willingness to obtain a clearance are required.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Translate customer needs into concrete data science and engineering problems.
• Experiment with and evaluate solutions, prototypes, and data science techniques.
• Design agentic systems, build tools for them, and assess their effectiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to turn prototypes into scalable production software.
• Design experiments for data sampling and collection integrity, and perform ad-hoc analyses.
• Contribute to product roadmaps and strategic discussions about data science direction.

Requirements

• 3+ years of data science experience, or 1+ year with a PhD.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in physics, computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of intermediate-level or higher Python experience.
• Experience with agentic and generative AI, machine learning, model evaluation, statistical methods, and data analysis.
• Experience with version control and familiarity with Agile development and Jira.
• Mastery of English is required, along with strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Model Context Protocol, or Agent2Agent Protocol.
• Experience with prompt engineering, LLM integration, or LLM training and fine-tuning.
• Higher academic degrees in a quantitative discipline.
