Senior AI/ML Engineer (Generative AI)

Location: Remote in Minnesota, United States

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy production-grade machine learning models for diverse business use cases.
• Build and operationalize Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation workflows.
• Design, maintain, and optimize end-to-end AI/ML pipelines covering data ingestion, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Integrate cloud-native and third-party AI SaaS solutions and ensure that systems are scalable, dependable, secure, and cost-effective.
• Evaluate emerging technologies such as Model Context Protocol, Agent-to-Agent protocols, and low-code AI platforms.
• Partner with data scientists, architects, product managers, business stakeholders, and technical teams while mentoring teams adopting AI.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing and deploying ML/AI solutions, or 8+ years of software engineering experience including 3+ years in AI/ML.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience and education.
• Proficiency in Python and common ML/AI libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
• Experience with cloud platforms and services including AWS SageMaker, Lambda, ECS, S3, and IAM.
• Knowledge of data engineering, SQL, feature engineering, MLOps, CI/CD for ML, model monitoring, versioning, Docker, and orchestration tools.
• Proven experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, vector databases, RAG, and fine-tuning.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience with Agentic AI frameworks.
• Open-source AI/ML contributions, published research, or cloud-provider AI/ML certifications.
• Experience in highly regulated industries such as healthcare or finance.
