Data Scientist, Applied AI/ML

Location: USA - Remote

Salary: $120,000–$180,000 per year, plus bonuses, equity grants, health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

What you will do

• Develop efficient solutions for AI safety and cyber detection problems.
• Build end-to-end research and development workflows covering data sourcing, labeling, modeling, evaluation, benchmarking, and product-ready engineering.
• Drive research and development of LLM applications, GenAI agents, reasoning, summarization, and interactive capabilities.
• Define model architectures, training approaches, deployment strategies, and trade-offs between accuracy, efficiency, and operational cost.
• Set technical direction, establish evaluation frameworks and engineering standards, and mentor Data Scientists.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with security, product, engineering, and senior leadership stakeholders.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of applied machine learning or research experience developing production-grade models.
• Deep expertise in LLM training, post-training, or deployment at scale.
• Strong technical leadership experience, including mentoring teams and driving technical strategy.
• Advanced Python, deep learning frameworks, cloud technologies, GPU technologies, and optimization techniques.
• Outstanding communication skills and a track record of solving complex technical challenges at scale.

• AI patents or significant intellectual property contributions.
• Research publications in leading AI journals or conferences.
• Experience applying machine learning to cybersecurity.
