Cost Accounting Manager

Location: US - California

Salary: USD 145,000–155,000 per year, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end standard costing process, including quarterly cost uploads, new SKU administration, and overhead rate reviews.
• Lead quarterly inventory reserve calculations and reporting for excess and obsolete inventory, lower of cost or market, used inventory, and ODM excess materials liability.
• Prepare and present period cost actuals and forecasts to senior management, including Inventory Management and Period Cost Reviews.
• Partner with Operations and accounting teams to analyze cost components such as purchase price variance and tariff or duty charges.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly Cost Trial Balance and Standard Margin reconciliations, including post-close cost allocations.
• Coordinate with Deloitte on cost accounting and inventory-related controls and improve process automation.

Requirements

• Recognized accounting qualification, such as CPA or equivalent.
• Significant cost accounting experience in a manufacturing, hardware, or technology company.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory valuation, inventory reserves, and US GAAP.
• Experience in a public company or SOX-compliant environment.
• Proficiency with Oracle EBS or OCI and advanced Excel skills; OAS experience is advantageous.
• Ability to own complex processes, collaborate across US and international teams, and present to senior stakeholders.
