Senior Associate, Accounting Operations (Cost & Inventory)

What you will do

• Execute standard cost rollups, including component cost updates, overhead rate calculations, bill of materials reviews, and routing or subcontracting maintenance.
• Maintain and analyze standard costs, inventory variances, purchase price variances, and inventory valuation reserves.
• Support new product launches, manufacturing transfers, and inventory workflow setup across internal operations and contract manufacturing organizations.
• Partner with Supply Chain and FP&A on monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare multi-entity financial reporting and inventory tracking while maintaining effective SOX controls and audit-ready documentation.
• Contribute to SAP ERP enhancements, reporting automation, accelerated close initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in a multinational, publicly traded manufacturing or life sciences organization.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, and Cost of Goods Sold.
• Experience with period-end close deliverables and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data manipulation tools, with strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• CPA license or MBA degree.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and financial close management software such as BlackLine.
• Experience with BI reporting, modern accounting technologies, or AI-driven efficiency tools.
