Senior Associate, Accounting Operations (Cost & Inventory)

What you will do

• Execute standard cost rollups, update component costs and overhead rates, review bills of materials, and maintain routing and subcontracting data.
• Analyze standard costs, inventory variances, purchase price variances, and inventory valuation reserves for impairment and obsolescence.
• Support new product launches, manufacturing transfers, and inventory workflow setup.
• Partner with Supply Chain and FP&A on monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate multi-entity reporting and inventory tracking across legal entities and contract manufacturing organizations.
• Maintain SOX controls, prepare audit-ready documentation, and contribute to SAP enhancements, reporting automation, accelerated close initiatives, and cross-functional accounting projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 4 years of progressive accounting experience within a multinational, publicly traded manufacturing or life sciences organization.
• Strong working knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, standard costing, and Cost of Goods Sold.
• Experience managing period-end close deliverables and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data manipulation tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional business partnering skills, with the ability to multitask and reprioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• CPA license or MBA degree.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and modern financial close management software such as BlackLine.
• Interest and proficiency in modern accounting technologies, business intelligence reporting, and AI-driven efficiency tools.
