Sr. Accountant

Location: Chandler, Arizona, United States (onsite). U.S. citizenship is required according to the required qualifications; export-control rules may also require U.S. Person status or government authorization.

Salary: $73,100–$135,700 per year

What you will do

• Own month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Perform complex balance sheet reconciliations and investigate long-standing reconciling items to resolve root causes.
• Support project accounting, cost accounting, capital expenditures, inventory-related activities, and financial reporting.
• Partner with operations and cross-functional teams to improve accounting accuracy and establish standard work.
• Support SOX compliance, audits, and government contract accounting activities.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline manual accounting and reporting processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of progressive accounting experience in a complex manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end close, debit/credit logic, and T-account analysis.
• Experience with project accounting or cost accounting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP or equivalent functions.
• Experience with enterprise ERP systems such as Oracle Fusion, SAP, Oracle EBS, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, or similar.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Government contract accounting, FAR/CAS, or DCAA experience.
• Inventory accounting experience.
• Oracle Fusion experience.
