Paeroa Sales Specialist - Technical (Agriculture)

Location: On-site in Hamilton & North Waikato, New Zealand. Monday to Friday with rostered Saturdays.

What you will do

• Support customers in-store and on-farm with product advice and practical farming solutions.
• Conduct on-farm visits and build strong relationships with local farming customers.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to maximise sales through planning and targeted campaigns.
• Maintain accurate activity records and keep the customer database current.
• Develop knowledge across product categories and technical farming solutions.
• Support merchandising, customer service, and sales activities in the Paeroa store.

Requirements

• Customer service or sales experience with exposure to farming or the wider agricultural sector.
• Passion for agriculture and motivation to build a long-term career in the industry.
• Strong communication, adaptability, customer relationship, and practical problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to develop technical knowledge in animal nutrition, pasture management, and weed identification.
• Good physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive manual handling, including lifting 25 kg product bags daily.
• Full, clean driver's licence; a manual licence is beneficial.
