Logistics Operations III (Global Freight and Transportation): Managing carrier performance and cross-dock execution across air, ocean, ground, and parcel transportation networks with an accent on SLAs, KPIs, escalation management, and freight-flow coordination. Focus on designing global logistics processes, managing operational risks and contingency plans, and leading carrier and cross-dock improvement projects.

Location: Austin, TX, United States. Day shift in Austin; travel required up to 10% of the time. Relocation eligible.

Salary: $78,000–$107,500 per year

What you will do

  • Manage logistics service provider performance across air, ocean, ground, and parcel transportation networks.
  • Track service-level performance, on-time delivery, missing, wrong, and damaged shipments, escalating issues when required.
  • Manage carrier statements of work, expectations, SLAs, KPIs, performance plans, and monthly business review action trackers.
  • Coordinate cross-dock operations, service providers, material project managers, shippers, buyers, logistics coordinators, connectivity teams, and finance teams.
  • Support new program launches, SOP and SOW creation, carrier transitions, volume onboarding, and end-to-end processes from EDI through freight payment.
  • Identify operational risks, coordinate contingency plans for disruptions, and drive continuous performance improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2–4 years of relevant logistics and transportation operations experience.
  • Experience with carrier management and freight-flow processes, including order management, warehousing, transport compliance, and packaging.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, accountability, attention to detail, and business-acumen skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate urgency and work effectively with ambiguity.
  • Must work in Austin, TX, with availability for up to 10% travel.
