Mechanical Engineer (YTG)

Location: Tainan, Taiwan. Onsite role with travel required for 20% of the time. Relocation eligible.

What you will do

• Identify and troubleshoot difficult mechanical problems with limited supervision.
• Define, coordinate, perform, and document engineering tests and reports.
• Develop and modify mechanical layouts, schematics, drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Design and implement custom tooling, fixturing, and processes for handling, assembly, and disassembly of components and assemblies.
• Perform engineering analysis, develop mechanical product specifications, and technically lead or execute projects.
• Coordinate suppliers, procurement, manufacturing, installation, and assembly while communicating complex technical information and building consensus.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 4–7 years of experience.
• Experience with CAD software, thermodynamics, sheet metal design, material selection, manufacturing methods, GD&T, flow analysis, and/or Design for Excellence principles.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the hirify.global product life cycle, including prototyping, packaging, material selection, and manufacturing methods.
• Knowledge of XY table design.
• Proven skills in 2D/3D mechanical modeling, GD&T, and precision machine design.
• Working knowledge of machining, manufacturing, and assembly, with hands-on experience designing single- or multi-axis mechatronic systems such as servo-controlled actuators, positioning stages, and robotic systems.
• Hands-on experience with FEA, structural and model analysis, and design optimization.
• Working knowledge of vibration control, servo control, contamination control, and cleanliness control in semiconductor sectors.
