Senior Dynamics Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, CA, United States. The role involves access to ITAR-controlled information and requires U.S. person status or eligibility for a federally issued export-control license.

Salary: $140,000–$175,000 per year plus company equity.

hirify.global is a Series C aerospace startup developing high-power satellite platforms for commercial and U.S. government missions from low Earth orbit to deep space.

What you will do

• Own the derivation of satellite loads and environments for ground transportation, launch, deployment, and on-orbit operation.
• Drive vehicle-level dynamic testing, including planning, coordination, test analysis, and model correlation.
• Develop finite element physics models and simulation workflows for frequency- and time-domain analyses.
• Build software tools and data-processing frameworks for dynamics and related engineering analyses.
• Lead qualification and acceptance testing of satellite hardware at component and vehicle levels.
• Collaborate with design engineers, analysts, and external customers while providing data-driven engineering guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, or mathematics.
• 5+ years of professional or academic experience in dynamics.
• Must be a U.S. person under ITAR or otherwise eligible for a federally issued export-control license.
• Ability to solve complex problems independently and communicate analysis and test insights clearly.
• Experience documenting tests and simulations and reviewing analysis-tool code.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, or mathematics.
• Experience with vibration, acoustics, shock, modal testing, and measurement systems.
• Finite element analysis experience with FEMAP or Nastran.
• Strong Python development skills and knowledge of digital signal processing, statistics, and structural mechanics.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, unstructured startup environment.
