Quality Technician (Pharma Manufacturing)

Location: Round Lake, Illinois, United States; onsite, Monday–Friday, 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m. Weekend work, flexible hours, and overtime may be required.

Salary: $44,800–$61,600 per year.

What you will do

• Support manufacturing and assembly operations through floor oversight, quality checks, in-process inspections, and final product inspections.
• Manage nonconforming materials, including removal, transfer, rework, documentation review, and product release activities.
• Perform process compliance audits across manufacturing areas and address quality or batch-related concerns with manufacturing and supervision.
• Maintain equipment and controlled-material inventory, initiate monthly cycle counts, and follow up on variances.
• Perform product functional testing to support equipment validations and troubleshoot issues using established procedures.
• Identify process improvements and escalate issues to line operations supervision or management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic science, mathematics, computer, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong written communication, verbal communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with minimal direct supervision and make decisions according to procedural and regulatory requirements.
• Must not be allergic to penicillin or cephalosporin drugs.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available. Work may take place in Drug Delivery and Penicillin facilities, and 20/20 near vision with or without correction is required.

Nice to have

• At least six months of manufacturing or quality experience.
• Experience with current Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices in pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
