Coating Operator

Location: Onsite in Opelika, Alabama, United States. This role is on the regular night shift and does not offer immigration sponsorship or support, including the Form I-983 STEM OPT training plan.

Salary: $40,000–$66,000 per year, plus potential bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Locate, measure, mix, and transfer coating ingredients according to product-specific instructions.
• Load in-process tablets into coating equipment and calibrate volume, atomization, pan speed, and temperature controls.
• Monitor coating operations and perform quality checks to ensure products meet production standards and tolerances.
• Unload, subdivide, weigh, and reconcile coated tablets within the required yield range.
• Complete batch records, labels, logs, and manufacturing execution system entries for charging and yield tracking.
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble equipment and production areas in accordance with sanitary, safety, and GMP requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or nine years of equivalent related work experience.
• At least three months of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read English operating procedures, batch records, safety regulations, and maintain written logs.
• Basic math skills, manual dexterity, and the ability to adjust equipment controls.
• Ability to stand and walk during a 12-hour shift and regularly push, pull, lift, and carry product containers, including loads up to 35 pounds.
• Forklift certification required within six months of attaining the position; ability to safely operate lift trucks and pallet jacks.

Nice to have

• Experience as a production machine operator or utility worker.
• Working knowledge of coating solution preparation and coating equipment operations.
