Packaging Line Technician (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Set up and operate automatic and semi-automatic filling, labeling, capping, sealing, banding, and packing equipment.
• Adjust machine controls, select appropriate components, use hand tools, and supply packaging lines with bulk materials and components.
• Monitor production lines, inspect products for defects, perform in-process quality checks, and remove nonconforming products.
• Pack finished products into boxes, seal cases, palletize materials, and maintain production, cleaning, and batch records.
• Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble equipment while following safety and good manufacturing practices.
• Train and cross-train operators and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, five years of relevant work history, or equivalent.
• At least six months of manufacturing and/or warehousing experience.
• Ability to read and communicate in English sufficiently to follow standard operating procedures and verbal instructions.
• Basic addition, multiplication, and division skills for equipment adjustments and container filling calculations.
• Experience operating manufacturing machinery and ability to follow cGMP, SOP, quality, and safety procedures.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift, perform repetitive work, lift or move up to 50 pounds with mechanical aids, and work around noise, heat, dust, fumes, and vibration.
