Weigh Operator (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Opelika, Alabama, United States. Day shift; immigration sponsorship and support are not available, including STEM OPT Form I-983 support.

Salary: $37,000–$60,000 per year, with potential bonus, overtime compensation, and benefits.

What you will do

• Read batch sheets, locate ingredients, and pull materials from stock using a forklift or pallet jack.
• Weigh full and partial ingredient containers and subdivide materials as required.
• Prepare product labels and complete batch records, inventory logs, and related documentation.
• Verify part numbers, lot numbers, expiration dates, and ingredient accuracy in accordance with GMPs.
• Transport weighed ingredients to staging areas and clean and prepare drum containers.
• Operate scales, JDE/DSI, and the Manufacturing Execution System while following safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or five years of equivalent work experience.
• At least three years of manufacturing experience with working knowledge of weighing operations.
• Forklift certification required within six months of attaining the position.
• English communication skills required for reading batch records and safety instructions and maintaining routine written logs.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift, perform repetitive duties, lift containers weighing up to 50 pounds, and work safely in congested areas.
• Ability to work with required protective equipment in a warm, noisy, dusty, and industrial environment.
