Blending Operator (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Opelika, Alabama, United States. This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship or support, including the Form I-983 STEM OPT training plan.

Salary: $37,000–$60,000 per year, plus potential performance bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Check ingredient part numbers, lot numbers, expiration dates, and quantities before staging materials.
• Charge blenders, wet-mix ingredients, discharge products into super sacks, and transport materials with forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Operate granulators, comminutors, oscillator equipment, drying trays, and sieve analysis machines.
• Test particle size and moisture levels to verify product integrity and compliance with standards.
• Record batch, cleaning, labeling, and production data accurately in MES, batch records, logbooks, and other required documentation.
• Clean and maintain blending equipment and work areas in accordance with FDA requirements, GMP, and company procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or five years of equivalent work experience.
• At least three months of manufacturing experience; production machine operator or utility worker experience is relevant.
• Forklift certification must be obtained within six months of assuming the position.
• Ability to work on foot for a full 12-hour shift, climb stairs, perform repetitive tasks, and regularly lift, push, pull, and carry heavy containers.
• English communication skills are required for reading batch records and safety instructions and maintaining written logs.
• Ability to work safely in a noisy, warm-to-hot, dusty, and physically demanding manufacturing environment while using required protective equipment.
