What you will do

• Directly supervise technical staff, set priorities, and remove roadblocks.
• Advise the team on technical and operational matters and provide hands-on support when needed.
• Track team and laboratory equipment performance and use data to drive improvements.
• Maintain and improve laboratory workflows, protocols, policies, and processes.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and manage skilled technical employees.
• Present project, schedule, and technical results to stakeholders and management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant technical experience, including 1–2 years leading, mentoring, or coordinating others.
• Strong Electron Microscopy experience with SEM/TEM, or broad knowledge of metrology and failure analysis.
• Strong critical-thinking, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to present technical material to upper management and make data-informed recommendations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Physics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• People-management or team-lead experience in a laboratory, fab, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing laboratory equipment uptime, calibration, or maintenance programs.
• Familiarity with semiconductor processes and data-driven performance tracking.
