Process Support Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Hillsboro, Oregon, United States; on-site. Travel required 25% of the time. Relocation eligible.

Salary: $86,500–$119,000 per year, with potential bonus and stock award compensation.

What you will do

• Guide semiconductor products through concept development, process engineering, and final qualification.
• Support customers through on-site equipment installation, system diagnosis, troubleshooting, service, and repair.
• Collaborate with customers, R&D, business units, and product teams to optimize tool performance and meet process integration requirements.
• Develop hypothesis experiments and design-of-experiments studies for technically challenging process engineering problems.
• Analyze experimental data using statistical methods and prepare reports with high-level conclusions.
• Perform root cause analyses and resolve complex process, equipment, and customer product issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, materials engineering, electrical engineering, optoelectronics, or a related STEM field.
• 3+ years of experience in applications engineering or process engineering is preferred.
• Knowledge of at least three processes across one or more semiconductor technologies, including CVD, ALD, plasma reactive ion etch, PVD, anneal, or implant.
• Proficiency in English communication is required.
• Ability to provide on-site customer support and travel approximately 25% of the time.
