WPM C4 Quality and Reliability Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: On-site in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States; living in Oregon is required. The role includes evening meetings on most workdays and 24x7 on-call participation through an engineering rotation.

Salary: $89,010–$125,660 USD annually

What you will do

• Manage internal and external customer quality issues for wafer packaging and C4 bumping products.
• Extract and analyze manufacturing data to assess risks associated with suspect or non-conforming materials.
• Support downstream partners with excursion management, investigations, and issue resolution.
• Drive cross-functional improvements in quality, reliability, detection, and material containment.
• Track end-of-line hold operations and Material Review Board inventory metrics and goals.
• Support certification and ramp-up of new technologies and participate in 24x7 on-call response for urgent production issues.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related specialized field.
• At least 6 months of experience with manufacturing processes, semiconductor fabrication, and quality assessment methodologies.
• Familiarity with excursion management, reliability fundamentals, or structured problem-solving techniques.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis tools such as JMP or Minitab.
• Strong communication, collaboration, planning, technical decision-making, and influencing skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Hillsboro, Oregon, with evening meetings and 24x7 on-call rotation.

Nice to have

• Semiconductor foundry experience.
• Ability to write automation scripts for data extraction and analysis.
• Experience with change control, continuous improvement programs, and quality control systems.
• Knowledge of product and process reliability principles and methods.
