Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Onsite in Santa Clara, California, United States; travel up to 10% of the time.

Salary: $124,000–$171,000 per year.

What you will do

• Identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical problems with limited to no supervision.
• Lead or execute engineering projects, including key supplier development.
• Develop and modify complex engineering layouts, schematics, drawings, specifications, and product requirements.
• Design and implement custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and processes for handling, assembly, and disassembly.
• Define and perform engineering analyses, tests, documentation, and technical reports.
• Communicate complex mechanical concepts with internal and external customers and interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 4–7 years of professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience with CAD software, thermodynamics, sheet metal design, material selection, manufacturing methods, GD&T, flow analysis, or Design for Excellence principles.
• Ability to work onsite in Santa Clara, California.
