Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States; flexible workplace policy with a required minimum number of days onsite per week
Salary: $112,000β$154,000 annually, plus potential discretionary bonuses

What you will do
- Build robust software architectures and influence software development processes and methodologies.
- Develop Android software components for medical products using architectural patterns, object-oriented principles, unit testing, and automated testing tools.
- Own modular, reusable, testable, and maintainable software implementation.
- Analyze product requirements, derive software requirements, and document requirements, architecture, and detailed builds.
- Identify technical risks, support mitigation and recovery planning, review work products, and ensure deliverable quality.
- Drive SDLC, Agile, software security, scalability, refactoring, testing, and continuous product and process improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs or masterβs degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 5+ years of software engineering experience and 2+ years of Android application development.
- Proficiency in Java or Kotlin; familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript and C++ for embedded or firmware development.
- Hands-on experience with Android SDK, Android NDK, Android Studio, Android architecture, components, security, and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, SOLID principles, TDD, CI/CD, Git or SVN, and Agile tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Experience delivering technical solutions, solving complex problems, collaborating with cross-functional and multisite teams, and mentoring colleagues.
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship and sponsorship takeover are not available.
Nice to have
- Experience in regulated industries, especially medical devices.
- Exposure to IEC 62304 and quality or regulatory collaboration.
