Senior Android Developer (Banking Applications)

Location: Wilmington, Delaware, United States; four days onsite and one day working from home per week

Salary: $106,700–$177,900 USD per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications for banking and financial services using Java and Kotlin.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver mobile solutions.
• Implement secure coding practices and support compliance with banking regulations and standards.
• Develop automated tests, troubleshoot production issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Manage tasks independently, contribute to technical leadership, and mentor junior developers.
• Follow risk, regulatory, audit, and internal control standards.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of Android application development experience with a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent relevant education and experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Experience in banking, fintech, or another regulated industry.
• Knowledge of Android architecture components, design patterns, and automated testing frameworks such as Espresso, JUnit, or Mockito.
• Understanding of secure mobile development, including encryption, secure storage, and biometric authentication.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and independent working skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of ADA and WCAG accessibility and compliance standards.
• Experience integrating banking APIs and third-party financial services.
• Published applications in the Google Play Store.
