Senior Process Engineer (Quantum Fabrication)

hirify.global is building quantum processors using its VIO™ QPU architecture and developing a dedicated fabrication facility for their manufacturing.

What you will do

• Lead or co-lead Site Acceptance Testing, including IQ/OQ/PQ, for incoming process tools across at least two process modules.
• Transfer at least two process modules from R&D into the kilofab and optimize them for yield, throughput, repeatability, and process windows.
• Develop process qualification plans, acceptance criteria, control limits, SPC monitoring, and fault detection classification.
• Manage qualification wafer runs, analyze results, prepare SAT reports, and drive resolution of equipment and process issues.
• Own process engineering activities in the MES, including recipe lifecycle management, process data integrity, traceability, and change control.
• Document SOPs, OCAP foundations, and process learnings while training technicians and collaborating with R&D, equipment engineering, facilities, and production.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• 5–7 years of hands-on cleanroom process engineering experience in a semiconductor fab or advanced materials fabrication environment.
• Experience with at least two process modules, including PVD, CVD, ALD, dry or wet etching, evaporation, dicing, track, or laser/e-beam writing.
• Practical experience executing or supporting equipment qualification or SAT activities.
• Proficiency with JMP, Minitab, Python, or R for DOE and SPC analysis, together with strong technical documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a Class 100/ISO 5 or equivalent cleanroom environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with superconducting qubit fabrication, cryogenic device processing, or other quantum technology contexts.
• Familiarity with cryogenic material constraints, including film stress and thermal cycling behavior.
