Facilities Engineer (Quantum Computing)

What you will do

• Monitor, inspect, and maintain cleanroom-related technical installations.
• Ensure continuous operation of HVAC and ventilation systems, including air quality, pressure, temperature, and humidity monitoring.
• Maintain ultrapure water, compressed air, nitrogen generation, gas, and chemical supply systems.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, coordinate preventive maintenance, and support emergency responses during utility outages.
• Coordinate external suppliers and service contractors while maintaining technical documentation, maintenance logs, and service reports.
• Improve facility reliability, safety, and operational efficiency while following cleanroom protocols.

Requirements

• Completed MBO-4 or HBO technical education in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, installation technology, process technology, or a related field.
• Experience with technical installations in an industrial, high-tech, or cleanroom environment.
• Knowledge of HVAC and air-handling systems, plus experience with utilities such as compressed air, nitrogen, process water, or ultrapure water.
• Precise, structured, safety-conscious working style with strong problem-solving skills and a high sense of responsibility.
• Willingness to follow strict cleanroom and safety procedures and communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and contractors.
• Dutch must be your main working language; confident spoken and written English is also required for technical documentation, supplier communication, and equipment manuals.

Nice to have

• Experience with gas systems or chemical supply systems.
