Process Support Engineer - Etch

Location: Hillsboro, OR — on-site; travel required 25% of the time; relocation eligible.

Salary: $86,500–$119,000 per year

What you will do

• Guide semiconductor products and processes through development, installation, qualification, and production support.
• Act as the liaison between customers and the Business Unit, clarifying technical issues and delivering applicable solutions.
• Optimize equipment performance to meet customer process and integration requirements.
• Install, diagnose, troubleshoot, service, repair, and approve the operational quality of complex semiconductor equipment.
• Develop hypothesis experiments and design of experiments, analyze data statistically, and prepare technical reports.
• Instruct customers in system operation and maintenance while resolving difficult process and product issues.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in semiconductor capital equipment or a similar high-tech industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
• Knowledge of at least three processes across one or more semiconductor technologies.
• Experience with etch processes is preferred for this role.
• Ability to provide on-site customer support and travel 25% of the time.

Nice to have

• Three or more years of experience in Applications Engineering or Process Engineering.
• Experience with Plasma Reactive Ion Etch or related semiconductor processes.
