Application Engineer III (Semiconductor)

Location: Santa Clara, CA; relocation eligible; travel required up to 10% of the time.

Salary: $124,000–$171,000 per year.

What you will do

• Understand customer technologies and critical gaps, and drive solutions through the full implementation cycle.
• Technically lead complex application activities and application teams.
• Lead customer-site evaluations, beta-site activities, system demonstrations, and execution against statements of work and schedules.
• Analyze customer technical requirements and schedules, and lead customer technical review meetings.
• Define and approve product application support plans for installations.
• Create methodologies to optimize system performance and develop, transfer, and implement new application capabilities.

Requirements

• Conceptual and practical expertise in the relevant discipline, with basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Knowledge of best practices and how the area integrates with other functions.
• Awareness of competitors and the factors differentiating products in the market.
• Ability to solve complex problems, evaluate multiple information sources, and apply judgment to existing and new solutions.
• Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information and build consensus.
• Ability to impact customer, operational, project, or service activities across related teams.
• Ability to lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements and act as a resource for less experienced colleagues.
