What you will do
- Develop and manage an Application Portfolio Management repository, processes, strategies, and reporting metrics.
- Assess application inventory, operational performance, risk, architectural fit, and contribution to key business processes.
- Identify redundant functionality, manage non-discretionary application costs, and define application lifecycle targets.
- Prioritize application improvements, updates, and sunsetting in alignment with strategic value and technical quality.
- Communicate APM approaches and findings to business owners, subject matter experts, technology teams, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in benchmarking, strategic planning, project management, vendor relationship management, and technical operations projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, plus at least five years of experience in systems analysis, application portfolio management, or related areas; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
- Experience demonstrating leadership in multi-source environments, including insourced and outsourced operations.
- Project management experience and working knowledge of application portfolio management, development approaches, and capability maturity models.
- Strong knowledge of banking industry processes and enterprise systems, budgeting approaches, and Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical, written, presentation, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder relationship skills.
- Ability to work under stress, meet deadlines, travel when required, and occasionally work weekends or holidays.
