Senior Business Analyst (Financial Services)

Location: Bristol head office, BS2 0TR; hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days in the office per week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

What you will do

• Lead business analysis activities across medium to large projects, initiatives, workstreams, and features.
• Translate business outcomes into design options and end-to-end business solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess business impacts, integrate controls, mitigate risk, and maximize value for clients and the organization.
• Partner with Product and Technology to align processes, security, data, product initiatives, technology principles, and design outcomes.
• Follow governance standards and improve business analysis capability and delivery approaches.
• Coach, mentor, and support junior business analysts while sharing knowledge across the BA community.

Requirements

• Substantial experience delivering business analysis across medium to large projects, initiatives, workstreams, or features.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand business process and system alignment.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing, constructive challenge, and relationship-building skills.
• Independent problem-solving skills and a continuous-improvement mindset focused on simplifying outcomes for clients.
• Practical experience with both traditional and agile methodologies.
• CCBA certification or a similar business analysis qualification, plus experience mentoring others.

Nice to have

• BCS Advanced Diploma in Business Analysis or similar, completed or in progress.
• Agile business analysis qualifications.
• Banking, financial services, or other regulated-environment experience.
