What you will do

• Originate portfolio, conventional, FHA, VA, and RD mortgage loans in compliance with investor requirements and applicable laws.
• Provide mortgage guidance, collect and verify borrower information, and explain loan terms, costs, approvals, and denials.
• Develop referral relationships with bank associates, Realtors, builders, and other community contacts.
• Manage the loan pipeline and coordinate daily with processors, underwriters, closers, borrowers, Realtors, and closing agents.
• Prepare and deliver required compliance documents and disclosures on time.
• Maintain knowledge of mortgage products, banking services, industry changes, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of sales experience.
• NMLS registration under the SAFE Act is required immediately after starting, with annual renewal.
• Knowledge of mortgage laws, procedures, rules, regulations, underwriting policies, and investor guidelines.
• Excellent communication, analytical, customer service, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels, meet deadlines, work under stress, and travel if required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook, or the ability to learn these tools.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 2 years of mortgage origination experience.
