System Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Migdal Ha'emek, Israel. Travel required up to 15%.

Develops semiconductor inspection tools, metrology systems, process solutions, and computational analytics for chip, wafer, reticle, packaging, and PCB manufacturing.

What you will do

• Lead system architecture definition for advanced semiconductor handling systems from concept through release.
• Translate customer and product requirements into system specifications and technical solutions.
• Perform system-level analysis covering performance, reliability, and error budgets.
• Integrate mechanics, motion, robotics, software, optics, and vision domains.
• Plan and execute system validation, qualification, and test strategies.
• Collaborate with Product, Program, Integration, internal, and external teams; support field escalations and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering development as a designer.
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or multidisciplinary product development.
• Strong hands-on experience in complex system design, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to lead technical activities across multiple domains and stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and cross-functional teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment with high ambiguity.

Nice to have

• M.Sc. in Engineering.
• Experience in the semiconductor industry or other global industries.
• Background in motion control, robotics, or precision systems.
• Familiarity with image processing and vision algorithms.
