What you will do
- Lead mechanical design activities from requirements definition and concept development through detailed design, prototyping, verification, and product release.
- Develop precision motion systems, opto-mechanical assemblies, pneumatic systems, vibration isolation, thermal management, clean-air flow control, and electronic packaging.
- Perform tolerance stack-up, GD&T, error budgeting, requirements flow-down, and verification analyses.
- Execute and interpret structural, modal, thermal, and flow simulations using FEA tools.
- Support prototype procurement, assembly, integration, testing, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with optics, systems engineering, electronics, software, manufacturing, and suppliers while investigating root causes and supporting corrective actions.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of mechanical design experience in a multidisciplinary R&D environment.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary hardware projects from concept to completion.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD tools and hands-on experience with FEA tools such as ANSYS or SolidWorks Simulation.
- Strong knowledge of mechanics, physics, materials science, precision mechanical design, and engineering fundamentals.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills are required.
Nice to have
- Experience in semiconductor equipment or other high-tech industries.
- Experience with Flow Simulation and Simulation Professional tools.
- Knowledge of vibration isolation, thermal management, cooling systems, precision machining, sheet metal fabrication, or welding.
