CMP Senior Maintenance Technician (B Shift Nights) (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Malta, New York, USA. Onsite work at the Fab 8 semiconductor manufacturing facility on the B shift night schedule, with alternating 12-hour shifts. Minimal travel is required.

Salary: $48,200–$83,200 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Monitor, sustain, and improve semiconductor manufacturing equipment and assigned tool sets.
• Schedule and perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to operating procedures.
• Monitor, control, and test equipment for manufacturing readiness.
• Recover equipment after process interruptions, document events, and provide shift handoffs.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using mechanical, electrical, computer, and software skills.
• Coordinate with production team members, area engineers, and lead technicians while following EHS&S requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of maintenance-related experience, plus electrical or mechanical experience through a technical degree, military experience, or 6+ years of relevant trade experience.
• English fluency for written and verbal communication.
• Basic computer skills, including Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work onsite in a cleanroom environment while wearing required cleanroom clothing and PPE.
• Ability to work 12-hour alternating day or night shifts, stand and walk for extended periods, climb, crouch, use hand tools, and periodically lift at least 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or equivalent education in engineering technology, military training, trade work, or related experience.
• Four or more years of direct semiconductor manufacturing experience.
• Experience reviewing statistical process control charts and troubleshooting out-of-control conditions.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams.
• Experience with structured problem-solving, project management, and continuous improvement.
