Sr. Manager, Data Center Engineering

What you will do

• Define and execute data center engineering strategies aligned with business growth, scalability, resilience, cost efficiency, and service reliability.
• Oversee the performance, maintenance, and lifecycle management of compute, storage, networking, power, cooling, fiber optics, and structured cabling infrastructure.
• Drive high availability, uptime, operational stability, monitoring, telemetry, reporting, capacity planning, and infrastructure scaling.
• Establish standardized engineering, operational, change management, incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement practices.
• Partner with Network Engineering, Operations, Facilities, Security, Architecture, and business stakeholders to deliver infrastructure programs and projects.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team while communicating strategy, risks, performance, and priorities to senior and executive leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience supporting, managing, or engineering data center environments; 7–10 years of relevant work experience is listed.
• Required people leadership experience, including direct employee management, coaching, development, performance management, and accountability.
• Working knowledge of electrical and power infrastructure, HVAC and cooling systems, structured cabling, fiber optics, server hardware, network infrastructure, and storage platforms.
• Experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management tools, preferably dcTrack.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure operations, asset management, monitoring, capacity planning, lifecycle management, reliability, and mission-critical uptime requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred; equivalent coursework and experience may be considered.
