Installation Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Dresden, Germany; customer sites across Europe with travel up to 75%

What you will do

• Install, commission, maintain, and upgrade semiconductor equipment at customer manufacturing sites.
• Support equipment startup, acceptance, deployment, and operational readiness activities.
• Use digital diagnostic tools, equipment analytics, and structured troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas delivery systems.
• Communicate with customers, document service activities, and maintain compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Travel up to 75% to customer sites across the region and work in cleanroom and manufacturing environments.

Requirements

• Associate, bachelor's, or master's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or mechatronics; military technical training, trade certification, or equivalent technical experience is also considered.
• 1–4 years of experience in field service, maintenance, manufacturing support, installation engineering, or a related technical role.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics and basic technical aptitude in areas such as pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum systems, or thermodynamics.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, test equipment, and digital multimeters; basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Valid authorization to live and work in Germany, through EU/EEA citizenship or a valid work visa or residence permit, is required.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% and meet customer-site safety, environmental, health, and physical requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor equipment, cleanrooms, technical customer support, vacuum systems, automation, robotics, process equipment, or precision manufacturing.
• Experience with structured troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
