EMEA Applications Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Dresden, Germany; customer-site work is required

What you will do

• Provide pre-sales technical support through product presentations, technical discussions, demonstrations, and competitive evaluations.
• Assess technical risks, success probability, and implementation plans for application initiatives.
• Support product commissioning and installation at customer sites in collaboration with sales and service teams.
• Troubleshoot complex product, process, and site issues and help customers improve monitoring and control methods.
• Develop internal and external training programs and document technical knowledge, application notes, conference papers, webinars, and other materials.
• Analyze competition and customer monitoring gaps to identify improvements, new use cases, and business opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or related experience in physics, materials, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in semiconductors, ultrapure water, gas delivery systems, factory facilities, facility monitoring systems, or related applications, control, process, or equipment engineering.
• Strong verbal, presentation, and documentation skills in English.
• Strong problem-solving, project management, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, contribute across functions and cultures, and collaborate effectively with customers and peers.
• Ability to work in Dresden, Germany, and travel to customer sites as required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of semiconductor yield drivers, processes, and materials.
