Installation Engineer - Graduate Program (m/f/d) (Semiconductor)

Location: Dresden, Germany; valid authorization to live and work in Germany is required. Travel up to 75% to customer sites across Europe. Relocation is not available.

Salary: €44,000–€60,500 per year

What you will do

• Install, commission, maintain, and upgrade semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer sites.
• Support equipment startups, acceptance activities, and operational readiness.
• Use digital diagnostic tools, equipment analytics, and troubleshooting methods to resolve technical issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas delivery systems.
• Communicate with customers, document service activities, and follow safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Participate in training, continuous improvement initiatives, and customer-site support across Europe.

Requirements

• Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree, expected in 2025 or 2026, in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or mechatronics; military technical training or trade certification is also considered.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Valid authorization to live and work in Germany, including the legal right to return and work in Germany after the 12-month Taiwan training assignment.
• Ability to travel freely within Europe and hold the documentation required for international business travel.
• Valid driver’s license, strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to meet customer-site safety, environmental, and health requirements.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% and work in semiconductor manufacturing cleanrooms.

Nice to have

• Internship or early-career experience in field service, maintenance, manufacturing support, installation engineering, or a related technical environment.
• Technical aptitude in pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum systems, thermodynamics, automation, robotics, or precision manufacturing.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, test equipment, electrical and mechanical schematics, semiconductor equipment, or cleanroom environments.
