Inventory Control Specialist (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Blacksburg, Virginia, United States

Salary: $50,000–$65,000 annually

What you will do

• Support the Materials Manager for Motors and maintain adequate inventory levels according to established cycles.
• Assemble and analyze data from files and systems for inventory and statistical reporting.
• Conduct daily inventory checks and coordinate weekly reconciliation of offshore cycle counts.
• Review documentation, production schedules, spreadsheets, bills of materials, E-BOMs, and MRP reports.
• Develop inventory control procedures and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate inventory issues, root causes, and corrective actions with Production Control, Materials Management, and offshore vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of clerical experience including data entry, or an associate degree with at least three years of comparable experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with Excel formulas, including mathematical functions, filtering, and charts, is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining confidentiality.
• Ability to travel internationally for 2–3 weeks annually, generally one week at a time.
• Access to U.S. export-controlled information is required for the position.
