Manager, Software Engineering (Python)

Location: Chicago, Illinois; 2 days onsite

Salary: $137,369.30–$206,053.95 per year

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a software engineering team of four or more engineers.
• Oversee the planning, design, enhancement, and maintenance of software and web applications.
• Guide development of APIs, support tools, and ad serving systems for DSP digital real-time bidding campaigns.
• Define project requirements and timelines with cross-functional teams and coordinate software releases.
• Set development KPIs and promote practices that improve efficiency, product quality, and operational excellence.
• Evaluate technology trends, propose software changes, and manage deliverables, budgets, and capital expenditure projects.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent coursework and professional experience.
• Experience leading software engineering teams of four or more.
• Proficiency with Python.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and variable schedules as necessary.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Django.
