Systems Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Onsite at the headquarters in Herndon, Virginia; candidates must be located in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.

Salary: $93,900–$136,200 USD annually, plus bonus eligibility and equity. Target compensation is $105,000–$125,000 based on experience, skills, and market data.

What you will do

• Manage and maintain secure, highly available IT systems and services in a cloud-first environment.
• Administer employee accounts, access, hardware, enterprise SaaS, operating systems, and endpoint management throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Own large cross-functional projects from planning through delivery and collaborate on integrations, errors, and performance improvements.
• Build automations that reduce manual work, apply AI tooling such as Claude and Gemini, and maintain operational documentation.
• Manage headquarters technology, including network equipment, conference room and AV systems, kiosk computers, and shared-space systems.
• Coordinate service-disruption communications, partner with security teams, and contribute to roadmap planning and two-week sprints.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional IT experience, including at least 2 years in an engineering or systems administration role.
• Proficiency managing Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with Workato, Okta Workflows, Microsoft Power Automate, AI platforms, prompt engineering, and system integrations.
• Knowledge of SAML, OIDC, SCIM, REST APIs, webhooks, JWT, OAuth 2.0, Python, Bash, PowerShell, and Ruby.
• Experience administering macOS and Windows, including Jamf and Intune, plus familiarity with Cisco Meraki, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, wireless networking, and conference room AV.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available. Strong project management, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills are required.
