Loan Officer - St. Louis Area

Location: St. Louis, MO, United States

Compensation: Base plus commission; loan officers can earn over $85,000 in the first year, approximately $200,000+ by year three, over $300,000 by year five, and top performers can earn over $500,000.

What you will do

• Engage with borrowers, understand their goals, and provide guidance throughout the home-buying process.
• Educate borrowers about VA loans and help identify suitable loan options.
• Run credit through an online system and explain rates, terms, and loan requirements.
• Manage paperwork and keep borrower files on track through closing.
• Collaborate with internal and external parties to support successful loan completion.

Requirements

• Established professional experience, especially in direct sales and pipeline management.
• Proven ability to use key performance metrics to manage a sales pipeline.
• NMLS licensing is required; support to obtain the license is available after starting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service focus.
• Ability to manage time, adapt to change, solve complex problems, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
