Community Mortgage Loan Officer- Germantown MD

Location: Germantown, Maryland, United States; occasional domestic travel is required.

Salary: $28.85 per hour.

What you will do

• Originate residential mortgage loans, take applications, communicate underwriting decisions, and finalize loan sales.
• Build and maintain referral relationships with community organizations, Realtors, government agencies, housing offices, and other professional partners.
• Promote mortgage products for CRA, low- and moderate-income, multicultural, and first-time homebuyer segments.
• Guide customers through documentation, disclosures, underwriting conditions, processing, and closing.
• Represent TD at housing seminars, financial literacy programs, affordable housing conferences, and community initiatives.
• Maintain accurate mortgage pipeline records and monitor local real estate trends, lending practices, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent progressive work experience.
• At least 3 years of related mortgage lending experience.
• Active registration or eligibility for registration with the NMLS.
• Established community-based network focused on affordable housing and first-time homebuyer education.
• Demonstrated sales ability, self-direction, strong time management, and mortgage origination system skills.
• Eligibility for employment with a covered financial institution, satisfactory background and credit checks, and compliance with applicable mortgage licensing regulations are required.
