Loan Officer (Mortgage)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States

Salary: $15.00–$20.00 per hour base pay, plus commission. Estimated annual gross income potential: $90,000–$225,000.

What you will do

• Manage borrowers’ complete loan transactions from start to finish.
• Communicate with borrowers, production teams, underwriters, closers, and other transaction participants.
• Interview borrowers, collect documentation, pull credit, explain loan products, and perform other licensed activities.
• Process credit information, structure loans, compile loan packages, and resolve application issues.
• Generate self-sourced and referral business through community events, social media outreach, and other channels.
• Analyze performance metrics and mentor and coach Loan Specialists.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in the mortgage industry.
• Relevant experience in outside sales, lead generation, cold calling, customer service, or business development.
• Active mortgage licensing or successful completion of the SAFE Mortgage Loan Originator Test and required state licensing before employment begins.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, customer service, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
• Experience self-sourcing leads and knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
