Loan Specialist (Mortgage)

Salary: $45,000–$80,000 per year, plus commission and performance incentives

What you will do

• Engage with prospective borrowers, understand their goals, and provide clear guidance throughout the home loan process.
• Run credit information through an online system and help borrowers identify suitable loan options.
• Explain loan rates, terms, and next steps by phone, email, and other communication tools.
• Manage paperwork and keep borrower files on track through loan closing.
• Collaborate with internal and external parties to support borrowers and team objectives.
• Participate in calls that may be recorded and reviewed using AI-assisted technology for coaching, quality assurance, compliance, training, and performance evaluation.

Requirements

• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and persuasive communication skills.
• Integrity, persistence, self-motivation, problem-solving ability, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle repetitive sales-related tasks and collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
• Mortgage experience is helpful but not required; the role is entry level and training is provided.
• NMLS licensing is required, with assistance available after starting.
• Availability Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., plus one or two four-hour Saturday shifts per month.
