Materials Engineer

Salary: $147,000–$202,500 per year

What you will do

• Identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical and material-related problems with limited supervision.
• Lead or execute engineering projects, including the development of key suppliers.
• Design and modify complex engineering layouts, schematics, drawings, and specifications.
• Design and implement custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and associated manufacturing processes.
• Generate product specifications, engineering documentation, test reports, and complex engineering analyses.
• Communicate complex technical concepts with internal and external customers and influence project decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience.
• Subject-matter expertise in CAD software, thermodynamics, sheet metal design, material selection, manufacturing methods, GD&T, flow analysis, and/or Design for Excellence principles.
• Ability to develop, test, validate, and assemble mechanical components and systems.
