Senior Hardware Material/Chemical Engineer

Salary: $62,500–$275,000 base salary per year

What you will do

• Develop chemical processes, materials, and test methods for components, products, and fielded systems.
• Identify, select, modify, or create materials based on strength, weight, thermal tolerance, durability, cost, and other requirements.
• Measure material performance and conduct testing of prototypes and products using new materials or material combinations.
• Analyze reliability, yield improvement, and failure-related issues.
• Collaborate with process engineers on novel materials and fabrication methods.
• Execute design assignments and contribute to technical reports and presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering.
• 7–15 years of materials engineering, chemical engineering, or relevant engineering experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a development and fabrication team.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering.
